The sun won’t rise for another 40 minutes and I’m not about it 🤣 6:50am is feeling like the middle of the night because it’s still dark AF out 😆🤪 In other news, I added a couple of pillows to our entry way, I was suddenly feeling like our house was lacking some cozy. #cozyminimalist

I just pulled out my calendar, 😱 only 9 weeks until Christmas. I think the only thing 2020 has going for it, is how fast it’s gone by 🤪 On the blog is my Intentional Gift Guide for a Simplified Life! 😬😬😬 Did I tell y’all that we painted our house ourself?! 😁 I’m sure by now, you’re not shocked and by we, I mean my husband. In 2019 I told him that he could get off the hook for getting me gifts (since they are not really my thing) on Valentine’s Day, Our Anniversary, My Birthday and Mother’s Day. (Since they are all within 90 days of each other) if he painted the house for me 🤣 He literally did it one side at a time.

We removed the over grown Bird of Paradise and rock. Instead, we planted 3 citrus, society garlic and used a brown mulch with a weed barrier to be more drought friendly.

We hired someone to replace all of the windows and sliding glass doors. Trading old aluminum for vinyl was one of the beet choices we ever made! (Check out the difference in photo 2 vs 3.)

I would rate painting your own house 9/10 on how much I would recommend. Paint can seriously transform a space, I would guess that we saved 80-90% by doing it ourself.

We used @behrpaint from @homedepot in Imperial Gray for the sides and Swiss Coffee for the trim and garage doors

Creating a cohesive wardrobe for your kids can be easy! Don’t let the word capsule scare you away or make you feel like there are rules you need to follow.
